Seeing Jesus

What do you do when God says “wait”?

After Jesus’ ascension, the apostles found themselves in a season of waiting—uncertain of the “times and seasons the Father has fixed by his own authority” (Acts 1:7). Yet it was in this waiting that they learned to worship, pray, obey, and trust God’s providence.

In Acts 1:12–26, we see that waiting was not wasted. Jesus was preparing His disciples to become His witnesses—not by giving them quick results or immediate answers, but by teaching them to see Him more clearly in the waiting. Their weakness became the stage for His wisdom, love, and sovereign power.

This message reminds us that:

Jesus reveals Himself in seasons of waiting.

Waiting is not wasted when it leads us to worship.

Seeing Jesus in our waiting equips us to help others see Him too.

Whether you’re waiting on God in your family, career, health, or ministry, Acts 1 shows us that Christ is still working, still reigning, and still drawing us closer to Himself. Worship while you wait—because Jesus is always at work in your waiting.
