Blessed is the Believer

In this second week of Advent, we step into one of Scripture’s most beautiful encounters: Mary and Elizabeth, two women carrying two miraculous children, meeting under the gracious hand of God. As their lives intersect, the Spirit brings about a holy resonance—a harmony of faith, joy, and prophetic praise. Elizabeth blesses Mary for believing God’s word, and Mary responds with the Magnificat, a song that magnifies the mercy and might of God from generation to generation.

In these songs of prophecy, we learn what faithful response looks like in the in-between—the space between promise and fulfillment. Their example invites us to believe God’s word, act in faith, walk in humility, and lift our voices in praise to the God who keeps His covenant and is even now bringing His redemptive plan to completion.
