Comfort in Person

What happens when you follow Jesus—and the thing you’re afraid of doesn’t go away?

In Acts 22:22–23:11, Paul watches nearly everything he could lean on give way. The crowd turns against him. The law can protect him, but it cannot stay with him. Even the religious institution he once called home nearly tears him apart.

And then night comes.

Paul is still a prisoner. The door is still locked. Nothing about his circumstances has changed.

But the Lord Jesus comes and stands beside him.

In “Comfort in Person,” we discover that biblical comfort is far more than relief from difficult circumstances. Comfort is not an outcome. Comfort is a Person. Jesus may not always remove the burden His people face, but He will not leave them facing it alone.
